The Saskatchewan Premises Identification (PID) system is an integral part of Canada's traceability system. PID facilitates linking livestock and poultry to geographic locations. It is critical to accurately prepare for, respond to, and recover from animal health issues and emergencies. Livestock owners and operators must have a valid PID number to apply for Ministry of Agriculture programs.
