Apivar 2.0 is a contact miticide, meaning it works when the bees come in contact with the impregnated polymer strip and distribute the miticide by contact with other bees within the hive.

Time is of the essence for busy beekeepers, and Apivar 2.0 gets that! Our innovative hanging system simplifies the application process, saving you both time and effort. And guess what? You can save your toothpicks for the appetizers—they’re no longer needed to hang Apivar strips!

Understanding that beekeepers use an array of hive types, Apivar 2.0 features adaptable strip lengths that are compatible with various hive configurations, including but not limited to Langstroth and Dadant. Notably, for Langstroth hive users, a pre-cut line on the strip has been specially added. This thoughtful feature allows you to easily place Apivar 2.0 strips between your brood frames, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility with your existing hive setups.

It is recommended to treat all colonies within the same yard at the same time to prevent reinfestation. Leave the strips in place for at least 6 weeks before removing. Apivar 2.0 is not recommended for use while honey supers are on the hive.
