Local and fully mated Manitoba North Star Queens will be available for pick up in Dufresne every Monday morning. 

Manitoba North Star Queen's breeder queens are selected for honey production, wintering ability, calmness, explosive spring buildup, hygienic behaviour, varroa tolerance/resistance and brood diseases... and now they're marked!

Maintaining high-quality queens is essential for successful beekeeping operations.

Splitting colonies and introducing new local queens is an excellent management technique and should be used to maintain vigour in every apiary. 

Re-queen in summer to increase overwintering success.

Queens must be picked up on the day of arrival or the very next day to optimize survival and to avoid forfeiture of the non-refundable livestock purchase.
